Ancient Wisdom For Modern Life

Yoga, Meditation & Counseling

Ayurveda

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda, which means “the science of life,” is a system of holistic medicine practiced by millions of individuals for over 5000 years.  It is the sister science of yoga, and offers a natural and balanced approach to optimal health. According to Ayurveda, each person has a unique constitution determined by the individual's unique qualities.

Ayurveda defines a healthy person as one who is established in the "Self."  Not simply the absence of disease, but a blissful state of balance where the mind, body, and spirit function optimally.

The self-healing principles of Ayurveda teach individuals to become familiar with their own constitutions, empowering them to make simple yet powerful choices in their diet and daily routines that enhance their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.  This harmonious state can prevent disease and encourages a joyful, productive, and balanced life.
