At the start of this year, there was so much talk about "2020 Vision".
Can we see more clearly?
This unique time on the planet has provided us the opportunity for greater awareness. How have we responded to our unique challenges? How are we interacting with those we've been quarantined with? How have we responded to our community, especially those most in need? What has been our experience on a more global level?
As our external worlds have slowed down, we have been given the gift of time to go inward, for self-study. How adaptable we can be when our outer world changes is a great indicator of our state of well-being and resiliency. Staying in tune with ourselves and knowing what we need to feel calm during chaotic times of life is a powerful skill. Eating a clean diet, getting adequate rest, exercising and staying connected to loved ones are some important factors in how we feel physically, mentally, and emotionally. The more ease we can maintain in our body and minds will provide us with more clarity.
Our minds are our instruments of perception. So, the more sattvic (harmonious) our minds are, the more clearly we can see opportunities within challenges. Our habits and daily routines have taken on a new importance. With less distraction, we can really take a look at what habits are promoting our well-being and a state of calm, and what habits are purely unconscious and perhaps undermining our best efforts towards a peaceful state. Only from a clear state can we envision the future of our dreams, as individuals, as a community, and as a global society.
With awareness comes the gift and the responsibility of choices... what are you choosing? Are your choices increasing your clarity? Are your choices nourishing you and everyone influenced by your actions? Are you moving in the direction of your deepest desires? If not, maybe it's time to cleanse the lens on your instrument of perception.
Remember, how we receive and perceive our experiences become the consciousness through which we create our future. This world needs our clarity.
